Oxygen first aid for trauma care

Audience:
Emergency services responsible for organizing rescue and where there is a risk of oxygen deficiency with the victim, such as emergency response teams, (company) fire departments, sportinstructors, lifeguards, swimming pools, sports and leisure facilities, campgrounds, outdoor businesses, etc.

Description:
This training is designed to train people in recognizing potential for trauma-related injuries and provide first aid with the use of oxygen while waiting for the ambulance and / or transportation to the nearest clinic can be organizes. The skills traint in this course are not solely intended for use in trauma, but can also be applied much more broadly, such as heart failure, shock, drowning and other reasons of hypoxia on the victim.

The aim of this course is to train people in the techniques of using oxygen as first aid for trauma care. 
Skills that are treated are a repetition of the basic first aid skills, (re) identifying hazards in the use of oxygen, proper use of oxygen cylinders and various conactors, using various masks to administer oxygen for breathing and non breathing victims.

Entrance requirements:
In possess of a valid basic first aid certificate.
